Issued by a qualifies structural engineer after inspection, it confirms the building can withstand operational loads and environmental stresses, ensuring worker safety and legal compliance for the factory license.

Key Requirements Of The Stability Certificate

  1. When It Required:
The certificate must be obtained in several situation
  • Before a new factory begins operations
  • Before a factory license is granted or renewed.
  • When a factory undergoes major structural alterations, additions, or extensions.
  • After an event like natural disaster that could affect the building’s stability.
  1. Who Can Issue It:
The certificate must be signed by a competent person, who is defined under the State’s Factory Rules, for which we take assistance from our associate civil engineers.
  1. Validity & Renewal:
The stability certificate generally needs to be renewed periodically which is every three years as per Government of Tamil Nadu.
